The goal is to provide victims of sexual abuse with support, counseling and assistance.

The role of midwives is to:

  • to provide care after an offence

  • to provide assistance with seeking the assistance of a rights protection officer and the police

  • refer you to crisis support or mental health team

Police involvement is not a requirement for being treated and a decision on a complaint does not have to be made.
