Nurses and doctors help and support victims of domestic violence or intimate partner violence, as needed and in accordance with their individual wishes, for example, by:

Midwives monitoring the emergency reception for victims of sexual abuse.
The goal is to provide victims of sexual abuse with support, counseling and assistance.
The role of midwives is to:
to provide care after an offence
perform a forensic examination, if necessary, in collaboration with doctors
to provide assistance with seeking the assistance of a rights protection officer and the police
refer you to crisis support or mental health team
present the victims with the choices they have made
Police involvement is not a requirement for being treated and a decision on a complaint does not have to be made.
Care may also be provided in all health centres at, or on, the sex abuse hotline.
Victims are encouraged to seek assistance after a sexual offence, regardless of time from the offence, the nature of the offence or the severity of the offence.
