The Directorate of Labour receives a grant for the pilot project Roadmap
2nd March 2022
Yesterday, Guðmundur Ingi Guðbrandsson, Minister of Social Affairs and Labour, and Unnur Sverrisdóttir signed an agreement on the Ministry’s funding of ISK 25,000 to the pilot project Roadmap.
The project is intended to promote the increased activity and well-being of young people in vulnerable situations who are exposed to premature absence from the labour market or from school. The experiment involves increasing the synergy and cooperation of service systems on services to the group.
The project will be funded by the Directorate of Labour, the Social Welfare Department of Reykjavík City, the Active Rehabilitation Fund, the Health Care Centre of the Capital Area and TR. The grant will be used to hire a consultant “Vegvísi” which will operate across the service systems. The consultant has been hired by Íris Halla Guðmundsdóttir, a career counsellor who has worked as a consultant at the Directorate of Labour with good repute.
