The new application portal was developed in close cooperation between The Directorate of Education and School Services and Digital Iceland. The goal is to simplify the process, improve service to applicants and ensure secure communication using electronic identification. Guðrún Helga Ástríðardóttir is an expert in secondary school services at The Directorate of Education and School Services. She is happy with this innovation: “It is very important that the application process goes smoothly, as these are truly big milestones in every individual’s life. It is therefore a joyful fact how quickly and well the development of this application solution went,” says Guðrún Helga, and the collaboration with Digital Iceland is well-documented.
