We are a reliable back source for school work in Iceland and contribute to excellent education and success for all children and young people. We do that with strong support and targeted service to the school community. We work in the interests of children and believe that the school community should meet the child and not the other way around.

Projects Centre for Education and School Services

are amongst others that:

• support, promote and coordinate education, school services and other school activities throughout the country, including general and special education

• provide high-quality and varied educational material for compulsory students, and for other students as may be assigned to the institution;

• to develop and manage the school resources and methods that support school activities and services, including quality criteria, procedures, tools, assessment tools and other tools for screening and checking of individuals or groups;

• support the implementation of the government's policies on education and the well-being of children and young people, including education policies and national curriculums.
