A world of adventure for children’s literacy

We are exploding from pride in the project Orð eru ævintýri, a new tool for enhancing literacy among preschool children. Last year, Orð eru ævintýri was published and given to children born in 2018, 2019 and 2020. Now we have improved and brought the book to all children born in 2021.
This year, there are even more exciting things to be found in this fairytale world of words, such as brand new boardgame, picture cards and the web.
Together, these tools offer almost endless possibilities for working and playing with language with the goal of strengthening vocabulary and language comprehension. We are convinced that the book, the picture cards and the game can be useful for school and parents as a source of new adventures and games.
The following photo shows the Minister of Education and Children Ásmundur Einar Daðason and Þórdís Jóna Sigurðardóttir, director of the Directorate Education and School Services, when the Hamrar kindergarten received the first copy of the boardgame.
