Icelandic Student Assesment System (ISAS)
To monitor children’s development and learning progress, a diverse set of assessment tools is essential. The Icelandic Student Assessment System (ISAS) is a new digital assessment platform that provides a comprehensive overview of students’ learning status and progress throughout their schooling. It offers a digital interface where educators administer assessments, and results for individual students, classes and year groups are displayed.
With ISAS, students, guardians and schools will have access to more and better information about learning progress, and the Icelandic education system will benefit from improved access to high quality data. Assessment results will make it easier for schools to monitor each learner and provide appropriate instruction and support. They will also enable policy makers to identify potential challenges within the education system so that necessary improvements can be made when required.
Implementation is underway, and here you can find a collection of useful resources.
