Traffic safety conferance 2026

The Icelandic Transport Authority invites you to the 2026 Traffic Safety Conference, which will be held on September 22 at Gamla Bíó. This year’s conference is titled “Young People and Traffic.”

The conference will focus on the situation, experiences, and attitudes of young people in traffic, as well as the challenges and opportunities involved in promoting greater road safety and responsible participation in transportation.

Experts from a range of fields related to road safety will share their knowledge and experience, with a particular focus on young road users. We will also hear directly from young people themselves about how they experience traffic, gaining insight into their perspectives and ideas on how to make traffic safer.

The Traffic Safety Conference provides a forum for professional dialogue, knowledge sharing, and the exchange of ideas on road safety and transportation. The conference is intended for anyone interested in safe and responsible participation in traffic and who would like to contribute to positive developments in road safety.
