Sunsetting of older Ísland.is login system

The new login option is free of charge and is based on electronic ID.

Those who do not have electronic IDs can use digital public services by giving others a paper mandate to do their business through digital public services that use the Íslands.is agency system.

Please note that all public services can still be applied for directly to a specific institution and/or municipality. Similarly, you can request to receive messages sent to the Digital Mailbox by letter.

Those with electronic IDs can give others access to their data through access control on My pages on Ísland.is. In the access control, you can grant authorization to My pages on Ísland.is as well as access to systems of a number of other institutions.

To accommodate those who are dependent on an ice key and do not have an electronic ID, access to the Digital Mailbox and TR services will be temporarily open with an ice key.
