Successful Career Fair
There was a lively atmosphere at Career Fair 2026, held at the University of Akureyri yesterday. Students in the 9th and 10th grades from local compulsory schools had the opportunity to explore a range of professions and learn about the skills and education required for different careers.
Representatives from SAk were on hand to welcome the enthusiastic students. This year, staff members introduced a variety of professions within the hospital, including:
Radiographers
Physiotherapists
Physicians
Biomedical scientists
Pathologists
Ambulance personnel
Speech therapists
Healthcare assistants
Occupational therapists
Human resources advisors
Nurses
Midwives
The therapy dog Atlas also joined the group.
