Received a grant from the Icelandic Nurses Association for motivation

A nurse at the Suðurlands Healthcare Center in the Westman Islands received an international day of nurse motivation grant.

Iðunn Dísa Jóhannesdóttir

On 12 May, on International Day of Nursing, Iðunn Dísa Jóhannesdóttir received a motivational grant of ISK 500,000. The grant is awarded annually to outstanding nurses who have had an impact on the development of nursing or healthcare in Iceland.

The grant is intended to support nurses in order to acquire further knowledge and/or training that will help them to further develop their projects related to nursing, which they have the responsibility for or lead. Encouragement grants are awarded to individuals, but not for projects or research that is fully or partly funded by others.

The reasoning states: Iðunn Dísa is a nurse who works at the healthcare centre in the Westman Islands. The industry is at the fingertips of clinical professionals. In the course of his work, Iðunn has the unwavering respect of colleagues and clients for their exceptional professionalism and presence.

HSU congratulates Iðunn on this recognition.
