Programmer job in Akureyri

Due to increased ventures, we are looking for a motivated team member to join a great group of programmers at the Directorate of Fisheries. If you are interested in innovation and development in the IT, sector this could be the right job for you.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Analysis, development and construction of IT systems

• Development of web solutions

• Participation in various projects in the IT department

Qualification requirements

• University education in computer science, engineering or a similar program

• Work experience in software development desirable

• Knowledge and experience in back-end development (.NET or similar)

• Knowledge and experience in front-end programming (React or similar)

• Knowledge and experience with databases

• Knowledge and experience with the Azure environment is an advantage

• A burning interest in software development

• Good communication skills and a positive attitude

• Good Icelandic and English skills in spoken and written language are a requirement

• Initiative, drive and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Clean criminal record
