New Educational Videos on Infection Prevention and Control – The Invisible Challenge
Three new explanatory and educational videos are now available. They present, in a simple and visual way, the invisible challenge of breaking chains of infection and preventing the spread of bacteria, as well as the importance of infection prevention and control in healthcare services.

The videos are specifically intended for education and training of healthcare staff and are well suited for both onboarding of new employees and regular continuing education.
They clearly demonstrate how bacteria can spread between individuals and the environment, why standard infection prevention and control measures are important, and how proper practices can reduce the risk of transmission.
The videos include Icelandic subtitles but also rely on clear visual communication and simple presentation, making them accessible and easy to understand for staff whose first language is not Icelandic.
We encourage managers, education and training coordinators, and other healthcare professionals to use the videos in training sessions and discussions about the importance of infection prevention and control — because what we cannot see may have the greatest impact.
Invisible Challenge I was produced by Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital, Denmark, and Invisible Challenge II and III by the Norwegian Institute of Public Health.
All videos were created by Martin G. Pedersen // MP Film.
