National election board logo

The logo of the National Electoral Commission was recently published, as the website of the National Electoral Commission now indicates.

The goal was that the logo would be simple and stylish but still telling a story. The framework of elections is based on precise rules and that spirit is captured, for example, by the sharp lines and angles that characterise the mark. The logo shows a vote going down the ballot box, the letters L, K and S standing for the National Electoral Commission (landskjörstjórn in icelandic) and other connections to elections.

The logo is designed by the graphic designer Birgir Þ. Joakimsson.
