New services in the Ísland.is app
Improved service in a new version of the Ísland.is app in line with the wishes of users.
Part of providing good service is to cater to users, an example of which is the Ísland.is app. It is evident that the app is what users wanted because since the first version was published in mid-2021, around 80 thousand people have downloaded the Ísland.is app and this number is growing rapidly.
The Ísland.is app is constantly increasing services and data with the focus to simplify people's lives.
The Ísland.is app now includes:
User's real estate information
User's vehicle information
Family information
Passport information
Displaying and updating a telephone number, e-mail address, and bank account used by the user in communications with public institutions.
Previously available in the app was the Digital Mailbox and various certificates and rights, such as a digital driver's license, a working machine license, an ADR license, and a firearms license. Applicants can also, for example, those taking parental leave can check the status of their application in the Ísland.is app.
A number of agencies are involved in the publication of data and services available in Ísland.is app.
