The National Electoral Commission has commissioned the Communication Centre for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide sign-language interpretation of content on the website kosning.is.The website contains a range of information about the referendum on accession negotiations with the European Union, which will take place on 29 August. To access the site’s sign-language interface, click “Sign Language” in the upper-right corner.Sign-language interpreters Árný Guðmundsdóttir and Elsa G. Björnsdóttir interpreted the text, while cinematographer Guðni Rósmundsson handled the filming and video production.Please note that the videos contain sign-language interpretation rather than sign-language translation. All videos are labelled accordingly to make this distinction clear.We encourage everyone eligible to vote to familiarise themselves with the information on kosning.is.
