Ísland.is now supports Apple Pay

This payment method is an addition to the existing ones and makes it easier for people to complete payments with just a few clicks.

Around 150,000 payments are processed through Ísland.is each year, for things like passports, certificates, and driving licences. This simple new functionality therefore represents a significant time saving.

Apple Pay is available for all Apple devices. All you need to do is register a payment card in Apple Pay.

The goal of Ísland.is is for individuals and companies to be able to pay the government in as many ways as possible, and Google Wallet will be added later in the year so that Android users can enjoy the same convenience. A connection to the new Icelandic payment solution, Blikk, is also expected.
