Icelandic Student Innovation Fund open for applications

Grants are awarded to research and development projects that are considered likely to promote innovation and strengthen ties between universities, institutions, and companies.

Grant applications are evaluated based on, among other things, their potential for practical application in the business sector and their novelty within the relevant academic field.

The projects shall be carried out through the independent and professional work of the student under the guidance of a supervisor from a university, institution, or company.

Grants are not awarded for students' final projects.

Who can apply?

• Undergraduate and master's students.

• Specialists within companies, institutions, and universities who wish to hire university students for summer work on research and/or development projects.

Applications are submitted through the Rannís electronic application system.
