Recognition of participation in Equal Education

These geniuses at Álfhólsskóli in Kópavogur received special recognition this week from the Capital Region Police for their participation in the Equality Education program for students in the 6th grade at Álfhólsskóli.

The girls are Elinborg Dóra, Elma Björk, Eyrún Dísa and Fríða Rakel, who are students in the 9 th grade at the same school.

It was community police officers who handed the credits to the girls during a visit to Álfhólsskóli, but on that occasion they watched as they gave a lesson for two groups in the sixth grade. They discussed criminality, borders, taking the law into their own hands and digital violence. A really good and well presented lesson for the girls, who have a future in everything they will do.

“The police in the capital area hereby grant the following students in the 9 th grade a credit for participating in Equality Education for students in the 6 th grade at Álfhólsskóli. With your outstanding contribution and positive attitude, you have contributed to safety, education and cohesion within the school. We appreciate your participation and wish you well in the future.” The police said so on the credit document, but they hope that more schools will follow the good example that has been shown here.
