Oddfellow3

The total value of the donation is approximately ISK 25 million and was used for equipment purchases, but the equipment will be located in numerous facilities of the institution:

District Hospital in Neskaupstaður

  • Wireless cardiomyocardial ascites, which makes those of us who need constant monitoring of the heart muscle at the time of admission no longer have to be bedridden but can walk around.

  • Filmarey research equipment that allows the identification of the various viruses and bacteria that we previously had to send to research elsewhere.

The healthcare center in Egilsstaðir

  • Ear microscope.

  • Equipment that facilitates the care of the deceased, e.g. refrigerators and benches, is important to us, as it is our ambition to show the utmost respect in such circumstances.

The healthcare center in Djúpivogur

  • Holter heart scanning device that allows us to examine the heart muscle over a long period of time, up to 24 hours while the patient continues his daily activities. Previously, residents had to go to Reyðarfjörður or Egilsstaðir for such a study.

Healthcare District of Iceland

  • A centrifuge that understands plasma and allows us to examine the various components of the blood.

  • Chair used for the examinations of the neck, nose and ear doctor.

  • A device to examine the eye’s bottom.

  • Blood-collecting chair.

Heilsugæslan Seyðisfjörður

  • Blood-collecting chair.

HSA would like to thank you for your kind donation, which is an encouragement to the institution to build healthcare for all residents of East Iceland.
