Fees for sea based fish pen farming in 2024

For the year 2024, tax per kilogram of slaughtered salmon is ISK 30.77 and tax per kilogram of slaughtered rainbow trout is ISK 15.39.

The Directorate would like to direct the attention to a bill before Althingi amending Act on Ocean Fish pen farming which could lead to amendments to the fee in question.
