In this issue of Epi Ice, we cover the results of a study on the prevalence of healthcare-associated infections and the use of antibiotics in nursing homes in Iceland and across Europe (HALT-4).
We also highlight the new international pandemic accord adopted last spring by member states of the World Health Organization (WHO), which focuses on prevention, preparedness, and response to future pandemics. Finally, we present data on the incidence of gonorrhea, chlamydia, and HIV during the first six months of this year in Iceland.
