CIRCAT Launches First Open Call to Strengthen Cybersecurity of Critical Infrastructure
The CIRCAT project, funded by the European Union under the Digital Europe Programme, has launched its first open call to strengthen the cybersecurity and resilience of Europe's critical infrastructure.

The call supports the development and documentation of realistic penetration testing and risk assessment scenarios. Up to 18 projects will be selected, with successful applicants also receiving expert mentoring through a support programme lasting up to six months.
The call focuses on cyber threats affecting critical infrastructure in the following sectors:
Energy
Health
Public Administration
Digital Infrastructure
ICT Service Management (B2B)
Financial Market Infrastructures (regulated under DORA)
Key information:
Funding:
Up to €40,000 (lump sum) per project. A minimum of 50% co-financing is required, meaning projects must have a total budget of at least €80,000 to receive the maximum grant.
Deadline:
9 July 2026, 15:00 CEST (13:00 Icelandic time).
Who can apply?
Single applicants only. Eligible organisations include SMEs, mid-caps, large companies, universities, research organisations, and public bodies established in an EU or EEA Member State.
