Changed Video Remote Interpreting Service Hours

Service hours for video remote interpreting will change, effective 1st September.

The service will be available from 10:00–15:00, Monday to Thursday, and from 10:00–12:00 on Fridays.

The service will continue to be closed on public holidays that fall on weekdays.

As a result, video interpreting services are now generally available for 22 hours per week, up from the previous 20 hours, aligning the service hours more closely with the opening hours of the organization.

The increase in service hours is made possible by a temporary increase in funding for free interpreting services for daily life activities.

It will still be possible to book a Video Remote Interpreting appointment for a specific time, rather than waiting in the queue, both during and outside regular service hours. To book an appointment for a specific time, please send an email to tulkur@shh.is.
