Bank transfers: a new payment method on Ísland.is
You can now pay for applications on Ísland.is by bank transfer directly from your bank account. Until now, it has been possible to pay by debit card, credit card and, in some cases, via a payment request in online banking.

When you choose to pay by bank transfer, you enter the bank account you wish to use. A payment request is then sent to your banking app via the system of our partner, Blikk. There you confirm the payment, the amount is immediately debited from your account and the application goes straight to processing.
Which banks offer bank transfers?
You can pay by bank transfer from accounts with Landsbankinn, Íslandsbanki, Arion banki and Kvika/Aur. More banks will be added soon.
Where can you use the new payment method?
Bank transfer is available for a number of applications, including:
criminal record certificates
passports
driving licenses
changes of ownership
various licenses and permits
Next steps
Work will continue on offering a variety of payment methods for even more services, for example for paying other public charges on My Pages on Ísland.is.
