Autumn Allocation of the Technology Development Fund 2025

The Technology Development Fund has announced the results of its Autumn 2025 call. Seventy-two projects have been selected to enter grant negotiations.

The funding categories available in this round were Sproti, Vöxtur and Markaður. A total of 376 applications were submitted, resulting in a success rate of 14 percent. Project managers for the selected projects will be contacted and invited to a negotiation meeting.

The total amount allocated to new projects in this round is ISK 1,333 million, of which ISK 730 million is allocated to the first project year.

The next application deadline will be 15 February 2026.

In the second half of 2025, the Fund received 89 applications in the Fræ/Þróunarfræ category, with a success rate of 24 percent. This category accepts applications on a rolling basis, and an announcement will be made later regarding when the next group of applications will be reviewed by the expert panel.

The Fund supports research and development activities that drive innovation across the Icelandic economy. It is open to innovation projects from all sectors and offers several funding categories for projects at different stages of development.
