Applications are open for the CITADEL Open Call 1 cybersecurity grant
CITADEL Open Call 1 supports projects that enhance the security and resilience of critical and civil infrastructure against physical, digital and hybrid threats.
The focus is on validating advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence, smart sensor systems, photonics, and cybersecurity solutions, in a real operational environment to accelerate market entry. The grants are intended for collaborative projects between technology-driven small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and users in the security sector, where each project can receive up to €60,000 in support to finance testing and implementation in the security value chain.
Grant amount: Up to €60,000 per project with a 20% matching contribution requirement
Application deadline: 5 May 2026, 15:00 GMT (17:00 CEST)
Eligible applicants: Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
