Application for an activity grant on Ísland.is
Alongside legal changes that took effect on September 1st in the disability and rehabilitation system, a digital application for an activity grant was made accessible.
Activity grants are intended for individuals who are assessed with 26–50% work capacity. Applicants can apply for an activity grant from the Directorate of Labour through Ísland.is. The work capacity assessment is based on an integrated expert assessment by the Social Insurance Administration.
It is truely rewarding to see how digital solutions give public sector actors the opportunity to respond more quickly in implementing changes like this. The changes are thus delivered more quickly to those who need them in a simpler way.

The application was a collaboration between the Directorate of Labour and Digital Iceland. This is the second application that they digitize together, and the third one, the application for unemployment benefits, is already in process.
