Allocation of catch shares for lumpfish

According to the law, the Directorate of Fisheries shall allocate catch shares for lumpfish before 1st of March 2025 and calculation and allocation of catch shares will not take place until next fishing year.

The reference period is the three best fishing seasons of lumpfish rights from the years 2018 to 2022 with exception of the year 2020. Only ships with registered lumpfish rights that have been utilized in the reference period will be allocated catch shares.
