A common path to good health - Residents’ meeting in Höfn

A meeting of residents in Höfn in Hornafjörður was held on June 10th in collaboration with the Sveitarfélag of Hornafjörður with the title of a common path to good health. The goal of the meeting was to build a common vision with health and wellbeing as the guiding light.

The meeting was chaired by CEO of HSU, Díana Óskarsdóttir, who presented the main challenges and opportunities of the institution. The meeting included activities in Höfn, the state service survey that HSU has been participating in since the beginning of the year, the project “Hjarta in HSU”, the emergency response in Öræfi and innovative projects such as HSU’s home hospital and telemonitoring with health technology.

The meeting was a lively and constructive discussion about health literacy and health promotion, as well as the development of health care, the organization of services and opportunities for increased innovation in the field of preventive measures.
