Icelandic test for citizenship

Information about the test

The test is divided into 4 parts: listening, reading, writing and speaking.

Criteria for passing the test

Your qualification is to be a member of the European Language Framework (A2).

You need to show that you can:

  • save yourself in daily situations in school, work and private life

  • save yourself in unexpected situations

  • participated in discussions on familiar topics

  • understand simple conversations

  • read short texts in simple language

  • written a short text in plain language

  • analysed main points in television, radio and newspaper
