Low-level landscapes are best with news stories on the site. Contentful manages to reduce the width of images to the right size but tries to enlarge them if they are too small. This makes images that are in the wrong sizes stretchy and blurry.

We recommend that:

• use news images of good quality,

• the ratios are to be c. 4:3 (landscape - horizontal),

It is okay to include large images because the system is responsible for decreasing them - however, it is most appropriate to have the images in web resolution (72dpi) and not in print resolution (300dpi or more). The web visualization system automatically creates a thumbnail image from the news image.

If you share the story on social media it is important to upload the image to the “and:image” at the bottom of the entry.
