There will be no separate application for an integrated expert assessment. Instead, individuals will apply for a disability pension and then undergo an integrated expert assessment if applicable. The integrated expert assessment will replace the disability assessment on 1 September 2025.

An integrated expert assessment is a prerequisite for receiving a disability pension or partial disability pension.

Individuals whose disability assessment was approved before 1 September 2025 and have a permanent disability assessment can request to switch to partial disability in the new system.
