Social Insurance Administration: Old age pension
I was entitled to a disability pension before I started receiving my old-age pension, why am I not paid an age-related supplement?
The age supplement is paid to those who had benefit entitlement to the disability pension age supplement at retirement age and were aged 18-43 at the time of their first disability assessment or when the benefit conditions for a rehabilitation pension were first met. If these conditions were met after this age limit, there is no entitlement to an age supplement.
Please note that a new disability and rehabilitation system came into effect on 1 September 2025.
· In the old system, individuals receiving a disability pension received an age supplement if they had their first disability assessment or first met the benefit conditions for a rehabilitation pension allowance between the ages of 18 and 66.
· In the new system, those receiving a disability pension receive an age supplement if they have their first integrated expert assessment between the ages of 18 and 43. This also applies to those who had benefit entitlement to an age supplement under the old system.
