Administration of Occupational Safety and Health: Written health and safety plan
What is the purpose of a risk assessment?
The purpose of a risk assessment is to identify hazards in the work environment so that they can be addressed in order to prevent accidents, incidents, injuries, strain, discomfort, or anything else that may threaten the safety and well-being of employees.
Risk assessment is a key part of the health and safety plan for the workplace. The plan consists of two main elements: the risk assessment itself and a health protection and risk prevention plan.
