Emergency pollution response outside ports

The Plan of Action on the Response to Emergency Pollution outside Ports and the Use of Sea Launch Area deals with the response to accidents at sea involving ships in Icelandic waters which pose a threat to maritime safety or threat of environmental damage. The plan is a joint instrument of the Environment Agency of Icelandic, the Icelandic Coast Guard and the Icelandic Transport Authority. It is designed to ensure the procedures and implementation of emergency pollution responses.
