Aviation safety programme

The programme sets out specific tasks related to the country's policies and objectives in

  • safety requirements

  • Risk management of safety

  • safety assurance

  • knowledge dissemination and training

With the aim of achieving an acceptable level of safety in all aspects of the transport system in respect of aviation.

Based on the programme, work is carried out on the projects that fall under it and contribute to increased aviation safety. An example of such projects is the risk analysis of the licensees and proposals for oversight schedules, which sometimes include increased oversight based on the risk analysis.

Framework of the Aviation Safety Programme

2. Safety risk management

  • Safety requirements for such systems (SMS) from air carriers

  • Approval of an acceptable level of safety for air carriers

  • Monitoring

  • Collection of occurrence data, analysis and dissemination

  • The scope and frequency of the monitoring is governed by a data-based risk assessment

4. Dissemination and awareness

  • Communicating knowledge and training staff internally

  • Communicating knowledge and training staff externally
