The EU Reintegration Programme (EURP) offers support to former applicants for international protection returning voluntarily to their countries of origin, with a special focus on Venezuela, Colombia, and Brazil.
EURP Assistance Scope and Amount
The EURP program offers both short-term assistance, granted during the first days upon arrival in home country (post-arrival assistance), and long-term assistance, granted for up to 12 months after arrival (post-return assistance) to help with reintegration.

The short-term assistance covers essential needs for the first few days post-arrival and can include:
Airport pick-up.
Transportation to destination.
Overnight stays as needed before reaching final destination.
Medical assistance.
Family reunification support.
Short-term assistance can be provided in cash, in-kind, or both. The financial support provided by EURP is as follows:
Upon arrival, you will receive 615 € in cash and/or in-kind to meet your immediate essential needs.
Post Return Package
The long-term assistance is offered solely as in-kind benefits and is available for up to 12 months following departure.
The range of available services of the EU Reintegration Programme includes:
Business start-up assistance.
Long-term housing support and related cost.
Social, legal and medical support.
Job placement assistance.
Schooling and language training.
Technical and vocational training.
Psychosocial support.
If you leave voluntarily, you can receive 2.000 € in-kind and 1.000 € in-kind per dependent family member after returning to your country of origin.
Pre-departure contact with reintegration partners
All EURP reintegration partners are accessible before departure, allowing returnees to contact them to better prepare for their return.
This optional pre-departure communication, offered in the local language, supports returnees by helping them understand the reintegration process and address any questions about the EURP program.
The conversation primarily focuses on planning for arrival, discussing realistic reintegration goals, and considering any other specific needs. A customized reintegration plan, usually introduced and filled in EURP application, is then developed in greater detail with the local reintegration partner after the returnee's arrival.
EURP’s reintegration partners for Venezuela, Colombia, and Brazil include Caritas International Belgium and IRARA.
