In Iceland, NDT is not the national government for the aviation industry. Consequently, the Directorate of Communications has applied for and been approved as an observer on the Irish NANDT board. Training, testing and confirmation of the competence of NDT staff must be carried out by staff or companies under the management of the Irish NANDT Board (see Part 145. A.30(f), Part CAO.A.035(f) and EN4179:2021 m.s.b.)
