Aid to pay for the costs of bankruptcy
General
If you have been unsuccessfully seeking solutions to financial problems, you can, under certain conditions, receive financial assistance to pay the costs of a bankruptcy filing from the Debtors' Ombudsman (UMS).
The aim is to enable a person who does not have assets and has no ability to pay to file a bankruptcy claim on his or her estate.
For individuals in severe financial difficulties
who intend to file for bankruptcy of their estate
who have unsuccessfully sought other solutions, such as Debt mitigation
are unable to pay the costs of bankruptcy without assistance
This is how it works:
You apply and UMS will assess whether you meet the requirements.
If an application is accepted, UMS pays the cost of insurance directly to the district court.
If you are unsure of what to do next, you can call 512 6600
