The role of a support family is to receive a child, sometimes with parents, in a private home to ensure the child's safety, relieve the burden on the child and his family and to guide and support parents in their parenting role.
Application process
Applicant Applies for Authorisation to GEV.
The GEV will check whether the necessary information and data is included in the application.
A request for comment is sent to the municipality.
The municipality returns a comment to the GEV.
The GEV takes a decision on the case and informs the applicant and his municipality of the result.
Application supporting documents
Permission to obtain a criminal record certificate for all domestic partners 15 years of age and older. The form must be printed out and completed.
Medical certificate from a GP confirming the applicant's physical and mental health
