Environmental assessment of projects - Opinion on an evaluation plan

Joint Committee on Public Works has approved construction works for the expansion and renovation of hospital and primary care facilities at Heilbrigðisstofnun Suðurlands (HSU) in Selfoss. A new extension of just over 5,200 square meters will be built to meet increased space requirements, alongside major renovations and reorganization of most of the institution’s older buildings.

Possible delays

The Federation of Icelandic Merchants has donated an adjustable training staircase worth ISK 2.5 million to Akureyri Hospital (SAk). The staircase is located by the surgical ward in SAk’s main building.

In celebration of World Mental Health Day on October 10, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the staff of the psychiatric day and outpatient unit at SAk will open their doors and invite guests to learn about their work, equipment, and facilities.
