The Friends of Akureyri Hospital (SAk) have once again made an important donation – this time to the hospital’s rehabilitation unit.

A police service will be held in the church of the independent congregation, Háteigsvegur 56 in Reykjavík, on Thursday, May 1 at 17 pm.

With the introduction of a new disability and rehabilitation payment system that takes effect on September 1, the current disability assessment will be discontinued and replaced by an integrated expert assessment. The Minister of Social Affairs and Housing submitted a report to the parliament on April 30th regarding the preparation for implementing the integrated expert assessment. The report is currently under review by the parliament's Welfare Committee.

Today, the Supreme Court ruled in a case where the icelandic bank ISK was involved in a dispute over the right of the Icelandic bank ISK to demand payment of fees on the payment of a mortgage they had taken in July 2008 from the bank.

The Research Centre at the University of Akureyri (RHA) and the Directorate of Equality recently began a collaboration on the implementation of the project Energising Nordic Equality, which is led by the Directorate of Equality on behalf of Nordic Energy Research.

It is planned to hold an A2 drone exam in Akureyri on December 4th at 3:00 PM, at the rescue team’s building at Hjalteyrargata 12.
