The health care center in Neskaupsstaður will offer a course for parents of 5 - 12 year old children who have anxiety. The aim of the course is to teach parents about cognitive behavioral therapy and to encourage parents to use the methods with their child to work on anxiety, strengthen courage and self-confidence. Common anxiety symptoms that children show are fear of sleeping alone, walking alone outside, fear of dogs or fear of something happening to their parents. The course starts on Thursday 17.10.24 at 13:00 - 15:00 in the hall on the 3rd floor of the Hospital in Neskaupsstaður.
