On February 1, 2022, the Minister of Infrastructure signed a regulation that is an amendment to Regulation No. 330/2020 on the creation of coastal zone planning. The amendment includes a definition of occupancy categories for the presentation of coastal zone planning on the drawings and in the memorandum.

On the evening of December 18, a volcanic eruption began again in Reykjanes at Sundhnúks crater. The fissure was initially about 4 km long, and lava and gas came out of the fissure. No ash is detected in the atmosphere. The force of the eruption has decreased considerably and is now erupting from several vents on the fissure.

The Teddy Bear Hospital will be open for injured or sick teddy bears on Saturday October 28th. Teddy bears and their owners are welcome at the HSN Akureyri Health Care Center, where medical students receive them.
