A dashboard showing statistics on the health workforce in Iceland has now been published on the Directorate of Health's website.

5 May is World Hand Hygiene Day. Each year, the World Health Organization (WHO) raises awareness of the importance of hand hygiene, especially in healthcare, on this day.

At the annual general meeting of the Sponsoring Association for HSN in Þingeyjarsýslur, new gastro-oscopy equipment was formally handed over to HSN in Húsavík.

A decision has been made to relocate the largest part of HSN's operations in Akureyri to Sunnuhlíð at the beginning of 2024. Home care will continue in its current facilities, psychosocial services and mental health teams will move to Hvannavellir 14. Work is underway to find accommodation for the part of the management located in Akureyri.
