RSV vaccination for newborns was discontinued on April 8. Originally, it had been planned not to continue after April 1, but the RSV epidemic this winter started very late. Although it was never very widespread, it was not clearly declining by the end of March, so vaccinations continued past Easter.

In October, a campaign was launched for RSV vaccination of children born after the end of the last RSV season, or from May 1, 2025.

Following increased oversight by the Icelandic Transport Authority, inspections of inflatable liferafts carried out by one service provider in 2025 have been invalidated. The decision is based on deviations identified during a recent audit.
