Holiday and December supplements for disability pension, partial disability pension and medical- and rehabilitation allowance have been calculated and the payment plans for individuals entitled to these payments have been updated on My Pages. The holiday supplements will be paid on 1 July and the December supplement on 1 December.

Just over five years ago, the first cases of pneumonia with an unknown cause were reported in Wuhan, China. This marked the beginning of a pandemic that would profoundly affect global health, economies, and welfare.

Iceland Revenue and Customs has completed the 2026 assessment of public charges for individuals, based on income earned in 2025. Income tax and municipal tax have largely already been collected through withholding tax, but the assessment provides the final settlement of these taxes.

An annual influenza outbreak is underway, and many cases are being diagnosed these days. The flu is appearing earlier than in recent winters.

The Icelandic parliament, Althingi, has approved a bill on a single payment to pensioners who earn 25 thousand ISK or less per month from sources other than TR. There are about 2,000 individuals who may be eligible for this payment.
