Residence permits on grounds of marriage or cohabitation are granted to individuals intending to move to Iceland to live with their spouse.

Individuals that have been offered work in Iceland can apply for a residence permit based on work.

A spouse of a refugee in Iceland is entitled to international protection through family reunification unless there are special reasons to the contrary.

Applicants must have completed flight school exams with satisfactory results (75%), before registering for examination at the Icelandic Transport Authority.
