The sale of production quota
You can apply for the approval of the sale of a production quota at HMS. HMS must approve the sale as it affects the value of a property HMS has granted a loan for.
Example
You want to sell a milk quota.
You want to sell sheep equivalent.
Conditions
Mortgage room after the changes or reduction of mortgage has to be sufficient for the existing loan.
Application
In the case of selling a milk quota you must specify:
Total number of liters.
Number of liters sold.
Value of liters sold.
In the case of selling sheep equivalent you must specify:
Total number of sheep equivalent.
Number of sheep equivalent sold.
Value of sheep equivalent sold.
Supporting documents
The application must include:
Statement of the status of loans on previous liens.
A HMS consultant will contact you by email and request more information if needed.
Application for the sale of production quota approved
You will receive an email when the application for the sale of production quota has been accepted.
When the documents are ready you can pick them up during our opening hours in Borgartún 21, Reykjavík or they can be sent by registered mail if you live outside the greater Reykjavík area.
When the documents have been registered at the District Commissioner’s office you return them to HMS.

You will receive a letter explaining the reason for the rejection in My pages island.is .
If you disagree with our decision, you can appeal your case to the Welfare Appeals Committee
