General
Individuals, organisations, and public museums require a special permit to own and preserve firearms that have undoubted collector value, for example due to:
their age,
their connection to the country's history, or
for other special reasons.
Conditions
The applicant must have:
Had increased rights for firearms in category B, for at least 10 years.
In addition, an applicant must:
have adequate facilities for storing the firearms,
have storage facilities that meet police requirements,
have a security system connected to a control centre with an recognised security company.
Supporting data
An application must be accompanied by:
confirmation of security system monitoring by a recognised security company.

6,500 ISK
Duration
Maximum 5 years.
